Community and Volunteer Engagement Coordinator

We are currently looking for a Community and Volunteer Engagement Coordinator who will be responsible for volunteer recruitment, retention, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver the Volunteer Programme across various roles (e.g., warehouse, van drivers, distribution centres).
  • Support volunteer recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing mentorship.
  • Ensure volunteer behaviour aligns with SADFB’s mission, health and safety, and confidentiality standards.
  • Engage with community partners (churches, businesses, schools, charities) to promote SADFB and encourage support through donations, fundraising, and volunteering.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing community partners to grow support for SADFB.
  • Organise and support corporate volunteering opportunities and community engagement events.
  • Provide administrative and social media support as needed.

Requirements:

  • Experience in volunteer recruitment and retention.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with community organisations.
  • Ability to nurture and support volunteers in their roles.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Confident working independently with minimal supervision.
  • IT proficiency, including Word, Excel, social media, and presentation tools.
