We are currently looking for a Community and Volunteer Engagement Coordinator who will be responsible for volunteer recruitment, retention, and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver the Volunteer Programme across various roles (e.g., warehouse, van drivers, distribution centres).
- Support volunteer recruitment, induction, training, and ongoing mentorship.
- Ensure volunteer behaviour aligns with SADFB’s mission, health and safety, and confidentiality standards.
- Engage with community partners (churches, businesses, schools, charities) to promote SADFB and encourage support through donations, fundraising, and volunteering.
- Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing community partners to grow support for SADFB.
- Organise and support corporate volunteering opportunities and community engagement events.
- Provide administrative and social media support as needed.
Requirements:
- Experience in volunteer recruitment and retention.
- Strong relationship-building skills with community organisations.
- Ability to nurture and support volunteers in their roles.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Confident working independently with minimal supervision.
- IT proficiency, including Word, Excel, social media, and presentation tools.
