The St Albans & District Foodbank are delighted to have received a donation of over £60,000 of food and drinks from Vestey Foods UK. The food donated will be used to support our clients, community groups and other foodbanks in our network.
Chris O’Sullivan, Vestey’s Chief Operating Officer, said “We are proud to assist the St Albans & District Foodbank and the Trussell Trust by donating food to this vital community project. As a longstanding family business, Vestey Foods cultivates strong community links by donating to local charities which support vulnerable people. This support from business is incredibly important during periods such as the current cost of living crisis. Our donation of a full articulated lorry of ready to eat meals, snacks and drinks will be distributed for use across the area covered by the St Albans & District Foodbank’s network.”
The St Albans & District Foodbank would also like to thank KAS Paper Systems in Dunstable and their Director, Adrian Hampstead, who has kindly agreed to store the food from Vestey Foods while it is being distributed across our network.
